1: Boozed, Screwed, and Tattooed (Babylon features rock, punk, hip hop, punk, and hardcore music, not to mention…live tattooing!)
1: Wellington West Art Walk (5-9pm, explore some of Ottawa’s friendliest art galleries)
1: Christmas Lights Across Canada Illumination Ceremony (6pm…300,000 dazzling lights……Beavertails…)
1 & 15: Dalhousie Shopping Night (6-9pm, Victoire, Workshop, Wunderkammer, Milk, Young Janes, Gypsy & Co. has a night of discounts and special events! Buy local!)
1-18: Ottawa School of Art Holiday Fundraising Art Sale (help other starving students pay their way through school) 
2-3: DIGI60 Film Festival (A competition where filmmakers are challenged to shoot a short digital film in a short 60 days. Then screen them for us to judge!)
3: Urban Craft Monthly Market (10-2pm, A craft market featuring awesome vendors and chefs!)
3: Hungry for the arts: 101 FRAMES gets a little bit gluttonous (An interpretation of the 7 deadly sins. If you don’t know who China Doll is, come and find out!)
3 & 4, 10 & 11, 17 & 18: ByWard Market Choirs & Rides (Holiday choirs, free carriage rides and roasted chestnuts! 12-4pm)
3, 4, 10, 11, 17: Canadian War Museum Gingerbread Cookies (Come decorate gingerbread cookies…at the War Museum. Delicious!)
4: Bytown Museum (FREE DAY, also an afternoon of festive fun from 1-4pm!)
4 & 18: Farmer’s Market Christmas at Lansdowne (9-3pm, mmm…fresh pies)
8: Holiday Shop Hop! (5-8pm, Wellington West, a cute part of Ottawa gets jiggy wit’ it with treats, drinks, discounts & more!)
8-18: The Originals Craft Show (Xmas shopping, hosted by 200 boutiques!!)
9: Bytown Museum Lumberjack Breakfast (8:30-10:30am, What is this?? Food??)
10: Annual Locavore Artisan Food Fair (10-4pm, are you a foodie?? Oh man, go to this!)
17: It’s Nice to be Naughty…A Rockalily Christmas (a night of burlesque… ;) )

Dec 17 – January 8 2012: Canada Science and Technology Museum – A Victorian Holiday: Science of Yesteryear (Discover inventions that changed the world)
The entire month: Canada Science and Technology Museum – Energy: Power to Choose (Where is energy produced? Where does distribution of major sources of energy take place?)

The Urban Element Workshops on anything food (from how to grill to how to sharpen knives, to mix & match dinners à chefs from 2 different restaurants make a collaborative menu to pair with wine)
